Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Truebolt LLC ("Truebolt", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on truebolt.ai. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal information generally.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can recognise your browser on a later visit. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay until they expire or you clear them. This policy also covers similar technologies such as pixels, tags, local storage, and scripts, which do comparable jobs.
2. Why we use them
To make the site work, to keep it secure, to remember your choices, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and — where you consent — to measure and improve our marketing.
3. What we currently use
We keep this deliberately light. As of the date above, truebolt.ai loads:
| What | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Site & hosting essentials | Essential | Serving pages, security, and basic performance. These cannot be switched off. |
| LeadConnector / GoHighLevel chat widget | Functional (third party) | Runs the chat bubble, remembers your conversation between page views, and links a message you send to your enquiry in our CRM. |
| Google Fonts | Functional (third party) | Loads the typefaces the site is set in. Google receives your IP address as part of that request. |
4. Categories we may use
- Essential — required for the site to function, for security, and for fraud prevention. Always on.
- Preference — remember choices you have made, so you are not asked again.
- Functional — support features such as chat, scheduling, video, and forms, often provided by a third party.
- Analytics — help us understand which pages are used and where people get stuck, in aggregate.
- Advertising & marketing — measure whether an ad or post led to an enquiry, and build audiences on platforms such as Meta and Google.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by companies whose tools we embed, rather than by us. Today that means our chat widget and font provider; in future it may include payment processors, video hosting, scheduling, or advertising platforms. We do not control those cookies, and their own privacy and cookie policies apply to them.
6. Your choices and how to manage cookies
Every major browser lets you see what cookies are stored, delete them, and block some or all of them. Look under Settings → Privacy in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge, or use a private/incognito window.
Blocking essential cookies will break parts of the site — forms, chat, and booking may stop working. Blocking functional cookies mainly affects convenience.
For advertising specifically, you can also opt out through the platforms themselves and through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out pages.
7. Do Not Track
Browsers vary in how they send "Do Not Track" signals and there is no agreed standard for responding to them, so we do not currently respond to DNT signals. We will revisit this if a common standard is adopted.
8. Consent
Where the law requires your consent before non-essential cookies are set, we will ask for it and record your choice. Essential cookies do not require consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using your browser controls, or by contacting us.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes or as we add tools. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
